Terms & Conditions
Last updated 30 July 2026
These Terms & Conditions govern your use of Eldridge, an AI-guided family planning service operated by Eldridge Path ("Eldridge Path", "we", "us"). When you create an account or use Eldridge, you are entering into an agreement with Eldridge Path.
1. Accepting these terms
By creating an account, subscribing, or continuing to use Eldridge, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please stop using the service. You confirm that you are of legal age to enter this agreement, and that if you are using Eldridge on behalf of an organisation, you have authority to bind it.
2. What Eldridge is — and is not
Eldridge provides educational information, organisational tools, and AI-generated guidance to help families plan around retirement, home equity, inheritance, funeral arrangements, and the practical steps that follow the death of a loved one.
Eldridge does not provide legal, tax, financial, insurance, or medical advice. Nothing in the service is a recommendation to take or refrain from any particular action. AI-generated responses may be incomplete or inaccurate and must not be relied on without confirmation from a qualified professional. Eldridge is written for Canada first, and estate, probate, and family law differ by province and territory — Quebec in particular follows civil law, with notaries and a liquidator instead of an executor. Laws also change over time. Decisions you make remain your own responsibility.
3. Your account
You must give accurate information and keep it up to date. You are responsible for keeping your password and any two-factor recovery codes confidential, and for all activity that happens under your account. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission.
When you invite family members or advisors into your household, you are choosing to share the information in that household with them at the access level you assign. Please invite only people you trust.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse Eldridge. In particular, you must not:
- use the service for any unlawful purpose, or to commit fraud or send spam;
- upload content you do not have the right to share, or that infringes anyone's intellectual property or privacy;
- attempt to interfere with the security or integrity of the service — including malware, probing, penetration testing, scraping, or circumventing rate or access limits;
- attempt to reverse engineer, resell, or redistribute the service;
- use the AI guide to generate unlawful, harassing, deceptive, or harmful content, or to impersonate another person.
You are responsible for what you enter into the guide and for how you use its output, including verifying accuracy before acting on it. We may remove content or restrict access where we reasonably believe these rules have been broken, and we will act on credible rights-holder complaints, including terminating accounts of repeat infringers.
5. Your content
The documents, notes, and details you add to Eldridge remain yours. You grant Eldridge Path a limited licence to host, store, and process that content solely to provide the service to you and your household. We do not sell your content.
6. Our intellectual property
Eldridge Path retains ownership of the service, including its software, content, educational articles, design, and branding. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use Eldridge in line with the plan you have selected.
7. Payment and subscription terms
Eldridge Plus is offered on a monthly or yearly subscription and renews automatically until cancelled. Current prices are shown on our Pricing page.
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.
Payment, billing, tax, currency, cancellation, and refund mechanics are governed by Paddle's Buyer Terms. Our own refund commitment is set out in our Refund Policy. You may cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the billing period you have already paid for.
8. Service availability
We work hard to keep Eldridge running, but we do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free. We may change, suspend, or discontinue features. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the service is provided "as is" and we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.
9. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate access where there is a material breach of these terms, non-payment, a security or fraud risk, or repeated or serious policy violations. You may close your account at any time. On termination you will have a reasonable window to export your information before it is deleted or anonymised.
10. Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Eldridge Path's aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the service is limited to the fees you paid in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or special damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill. Nothing in these terms excludes liability for fraud, death, or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.
You agree to indemnify Eldridge Path against claims arising from your content, your unlawful use of the service, or your breach of these terms.
11. Changes, law, and contact
We may update these terms; material changes will be notified in the app or by email. These terms are governed by the laws of Canada and the province in which Eldridge Path is established, and disputes will be heard in the courts of that jurisdiction. You may not assign this agreement without our consent; we may assign it in connection with a merger or acquisition. Neither party is liable for delays caused by events beyond its reasonable control.
